The Laba Festival is a traditional Chinese holiday celebrated on the eighth day of the twelfth month in Chinese lunar calendar. 

Cooking  and  Sharing Laba Congee is the key Traditions and Customs at the Laba Festival.
Eating Laba porridge is believed to brings health, good luck, and prosperity. In a time of tradition, people will make large pots of Laba congee to share with family, and friends and neighbors, as a way of community, togetherness. 

As usual, our company cafeteria prepared Laba porridge in advance for all employees. This morning, every colleague who came to work was first greeted with a bowl of steaming hot Laba porridge. It brought a strong sense of warmth and sweetness on these chilly winter days, helping everyone start the day on a cheerful note.
